8 - Rental of ICT Equipment
Companies and organizations need to be able to rely on their ICT infrastructure - you have high demands: Data security,
cost efficienty, reliability and fast remedy of failures.
Yet, employing the latest hardware generation entails high costs - for purchase and/or leasing.
These costs can be reduced significantly by renting ICT infrastructure. Rental of hardware that is one or two generations old
provides an additional cost saving factor as the newest hardware generation is not needed - in a surprisingly high number of
cases.

Service contract included - any defect resulting from normal operations is covered
Contract conditions, cost
Delivery - EUR 60 delivery cost per server.
Installation in your rack - Upon request, the server is installed physically in your rack for EUR 120.
Software installation - Upon request, server software is installed according to your requirements. Software and labour are invoiced as per our current rates.
Contract duration - The contract has a minimum duration of three months and doesn't carry an end date. The customer can
cancel the contract monthly, effective date is one month after cancellation.
Cancellation by ict-expert - ict-expert may cancel the contract with immediate effect if the customer's payments are not
received in time or the customer breaks other points of the rental contract. The server has to be returned within 2 working days
following the day upon which the cancellation has been conveyed to the customer. verstößt.
Return of equipment - The rented equipment has to be complete in the original packaging with all originally by ict-expert
delivered components and ancillaries, clean and in working order when being returned.
Defects or missing parts will be repaired and/or replaced by ict-expert. Costs related to this will be invoiced to the customer.
In this case, the rental contract continues until the device is back in working order. Minimum extension of the rental contract
is one month.
Standard maintenance contract (included in the rental contract)
NBD - Next Business Day Service - A technician will arrive on site at the latest on the next working day after a problem has
been reported. The only cost invoiced is our current lump sum for on site service. If you wish to avoid the lump sum payment,
you can deliver the rented equipment to our workshop for repair - our conditions for return of equipment apply.
In case that the defect doesn't fall under the maintenance contract conditions, the defect will be repaired at our hourly rates,
replacement parts will be invoiced as per current pricing.
Any defect that is a result of normal operations will be repaired free of charge to the customer.
ict-expert guarantees that defects covered by the maintenance contract will be repaired within three work days.
We cannot guarantee this for defects which are not covered by the maintenance contract. ict-expert reserves the right to
exchange the rented equipment in part or whole either temporarily or indefinitely against equipment with identical or better
technical data.
Extended maintenance contract - optional
4H - A technician will arrive on site at the latest within four hours during our normal working hours after a problem has
been reported. The only cost invoiced is our current lump sum for on site service. If you wish to avoid the lump sum payment,
you can deliver the rented equipment to our workshop for repair - our conditions for return of equipment apply.

7.1 Server Packages
All server systems are of high quality, manufacturers used are Compaq, HP and other renowned companies.
Prior to delivery, all devices undergo a functionality and stress test. Devices are delivered with power cables for each power
supply and rack installation material for 19" devices.
Hard disks are installed in RAID-5 configuration. Upon request, other RAID-levels are possible to be pre-configured.

How much?
We invoice set hourly rates depending on the kind of service provided. A number of services is available as lump sum offers,
our customers can also enter into service or project management contracts with us and/or acquire blocks of hours at a
reduced price.
